Lake Garda (Gardasee, Lago di Garda) has some of the best natural mountainbike trails in the world. A lake surrounded by mountains - like a small paradise. The Lake Garda is a top destination for riders from Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Italy for spring and autumn. It is a top spot in spring and fall in Europe.
Especially if the alps are still (or already) covered with snow you can have a good time and perfect weather conditions riding at this spot.
There is an endless number of trails and possibiltes to ride. Lago di Garda also offers a great infrastucture of shuttle services, gondala (Monte Baldo) and delicious mediterranan italian food.
Best season is spring and fall. In summer it might get very warm. May has the most rain.
Bikers mostly reside on the north of the lake in Riva del Garda and Torbole with many hotels, guesthouses and campgrounds friendly to mountain bikers.
