Liguria is a very popular destination for European mountain bikers and is becoming increasingly popular for the British with many articles being published by the MTB press.

Liguria, otherwise known as the Italian Riviera or the Riviera Dei Firoi (Coast of Flowers), is home to the famous cities and beach resorts of San Remo, Imperia and Genova as well as neighbour to the French Riviera and Monaco.

The most well known locations in this area are:

Val Argentina

Val Argentina was the first freeride area in Italy with van shuttles, started in the year 2000 by Argentina Bike. These trails have now expanded to many other valleys including Nervia and Roya in France with over 40 pistes with a combined total of 30,000 vertical metres and 350km long.

Although the Val Argentina is known for its steep sided technical trails with many double black runs appealing to the hardened freerider, we have since opened many easier runs and now have trails to suit all abilities.

San Romolo

Famous or infamous for its downhill course, one of the toughest and physical courses there is and claimant of many a broken bike. Thankflly there are many other easier runs. The trails are sandy with plenty of big sandstone slabs and provide breathtaking views high over San Remo and the Med from Mt Bignone. Often we link San Romolo with Molini to give a true Alp to Sea ride in day. This area provides ideal winter riding.

Diana Marina / Cervo

Newly opened this year and home to the first 2009 "super endure" race. It has 4 new Freeride pistes, littered with drops and jumps, berms and great sea views. Perfect any time of the year especially for the winter.

Upega / Nava

Again another new area high in Val Tannaro, with a very alpine feel, plenty of pine forest singletrack littered with drops and chutes. Open during the summer months.

Finale Ligure & Calizzano

And of course there is the well known Finale Ligure and Calizzano, all in all giving you over a 1000 km of sweet singletrack and all accessible by shuttle.

Operating schedule:

Most shuttle services start at about 9 am.
