MONTE GRAPPA with its 1,775 meters is the highest peak of the group surrounding it, making up part of the Veneto Prealp region, isolated between the rivers Brenta and Piave.
Monte Grappa gained significant importance during the First World War of 1915-1918 when, in 1917 it became the front-line of defense against the Austrian troops who, after the battle of Caporetto, were looking to conquest the river Piave and control the mountain area.
Monte Grappa with its old military tracks and the hiking paths offers a great variety of trails for mountain biking.
Monte Grappa is also very popular for Paragliders.
