A variety of highlights and new features for cyclists and bikers is scheduled. The Ötztal already enjoys a world-wide reputation as the home of classic cycle events held year after year. Among the new attractions ranks E-Hiking, a perfect blend of electric bicycle tour and hike.

The world of cycling sports is as colorful as cycling shirts dating back to the Eighties. All-mountain riders, downhill fans, classic mountain bikers, road cyclists and e-bikers are ready to conquer the valley's high Alpine regions. And there is only one perfect destination that has it all: welcome to the Ötztal Valley! No matter which type of biker you are, we have the right offer. It's not a coincidence that this valley hosts the renowned Ötztaler Cycle Marathon or the unique Paper Chase, always focusing on new accents in the field of sport events.

Singletrails 
 
The network of fantastic single trails has been extended in the Ötztal for the 2014 season – especially in the surroundings of Sölden. One thing is for sure: the Ötztal ranks among the undisputed Hot Spots in the Alps for all-mountain bikers and enduro bikers. The area's challenging single trails attract top riders to the high Alpine regions beyond 3000 meters, embedded in the stunning scenery of the Ötztal Alps.Additionally, the valley's summer mountain lifts came up with made to measure packages for all-mountain bikers. 
 
Bicycle transport is available in the following holiday resorts: Hochoetz, Giggijoch in Sölden, Gaislachkogl in Sölden, Hohe Mut and Wurmkogel in Obergurgl/Hochgurgl.The panorama trail in Hochsölden is an absolute must for single trail aficionados. All-mountain riders can indulge in no less than 5 kilometers of the Alps' finest single trails on a total distance of some 25 kilometers.Uninterrupted views of the upper Ötztal and nice rest stops included.
 
All those who want to improve their mountain bike skills before heading towards the single trails, get together at the Sölden practicing area that features a pump track – 100 meters longer than last year. Another practicing course can be found in Oetz, a perfect spot to get used to the highly demanding Alpine terrain.
